Patient Testimonials

About

Here in the surgery, there is time to talk, to create a pleasant atmosphere, to listen to the patient with interest.

Dr. Gréta Sterba has already oriented herself towards rheumatology during her third or fourth year of university. She has always been interested in internal medicine, and rheumatology is a branch of internal medicine dealing with musculoskeletal disorders. In her practice, the most common conditions are various spinal diseases, arthritic diseases, gout disease with gout symptoms (which can be alleviated by gout diet ), muscle pain, tendonitis, osteoporosis.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not only elderly patients who come to a rheumatologist’s office,” says the Doctor, “but also an increasing number of young, middle-aged patients due to a sedentary and sedentary lifestyle. They mainly come to her with back and neck problems and pain from tight muscles.

It is extremely important for a doctor to be thorough and knowledgeable in his profession and to keep up his training, but it is equally important to have the right relationship with the patient.

“Here in the practice, there is time to talk, to create a pleasant atmosphere, to listen to the patient with interest. And good communication helps patients to take the medicine and adhere to the treatment. The models and posters in the office also help me to explain and illustrate the patient’s illness and recovery,”she explains.

I enjoy this profession not only because I can treat a very wide range of complaints, but also because the work of a rheumatologist is a real team effort: you have to work together with other medical professionals, doctors, masseurs, physiotherapists. I also think it is important to have access to precise diagnostic tests (X-rays, CT scans, MRI, bone density measurements, laboratory tests),” concludes Dr Sterba.
