Neurosurgeons
Neurosurgeons available in BMM
Neurosurgeons specialise in the surgical treatment of diseases of the spine and nervous system.
After thorough diagnostics, the neurosurgeon performs surgery on specific sensitive areas of the brain and spine. At the Budapest Musculoskeletal Private Outpatient Clinic, two of Hungary’s top neurosurgeons hold private outpatient clinics, where you can have a thorough physical examination and consultation. After a thorough mapping and examination of the patient’s complaints, the specialist decides on the necessary therapy on an individual basis, depending on the patient’s condition and chances of recovery. An intervention is performed in an in-patient ward of the hospital in justified cases.
What complaints should you contact our neurosurgery specialists with?
- Herniated Disc
- Radiating pain into the limb
- Cervical spine fracture
- Severe back pain, which may be accompanied by urinary disturbance or loss of sensation
What treatment options can we offer?
Our specialists always recommend a personalised treatment for our patients. If the patient’s condition does not warrant surgical intervention, a range of conservative treatment options are available on site. If surgical intervention is indicated, our neurosurgeons perform the interventions in a hospital inpatient unit under appropriate medical conditions.
Our conservative treatment options:
- Physiotherapy: physiotherapy, physiotherapy gymnastics, physiotherapy massage , manual therapy, trigger-point therapy
- Physiotherapy treatments: ultrasound therapy, electrotherapy (TENS), bioptron light therapy, shock wave therapy, phonophoresis.
- Prescribing recommended medicines available on prescription.
- Prescription, purchase and fitting of recommended medical aid devices.
What happens during a neurosurgery specialist examination?
- Medical history: history of previous musculoskeletal complaints and diseases.
- Present complaints: qualitative assessment of pain, lifestyle (home and work), musculoskeletal conditions.
- Peripheral nerve (neurology) examination: examination of the innervation of the muscles that control the joints, examination of the sensory and motor reflexes, and examination of the natural and abnormal reflexes.
- Functional examination: functional examination of the spine.
- Summary of therapeutic recommendations, documentation, preparation of outpatient records.
At your request, we can arrange other tests (laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MR, ENG examination) recommended by your specialist. Our diagnostic partner institutions offer our patients the best medical imaging equipment.
