Patient Testimonials

About

…my grandfather and father were both doctors, a lifestyle that seemed natural even as a child.

I have been working in the orthopedics department of the National Institute of Rehabilitation since 2006. My main focus is on large joint arthroplasty (hip and knee replacements), but I also regularly perform knee arthroscopy and other corrective surgeries. The age distribution of my patient population is characterised by young athletes and older people with wear and tear. Prior to my orthopedic surgical work, I worked as a trauma surgeon for ten years, which gave me a good foundation for the orthopedic interventions I later took up.

The medical career was coded in my family, my grandfather and my father were both doctors, so it was a lifestyle that seemed natural even as a child. As a head and neck surgeon, my father expected me to gain a year’s experience in internal medicine as a graduate doctor. Obviously, this one year did not give me a solid foundation to delve into the mysteries of internal medicine, but it did give me a small glimpse into the other side of medicine. Keeping this perspective, I have been doing emergency on-call service in traumatology and orthopedics on a weekly basis for years.

After the birth of my first daughter, I was able to switch from traumatology to orthopedics, which made my life much more predictable, I was able to spend more time with my family and my on-call service workload was significantly reduced.

For years, I have been working in an outpatient clinic in another institution alongside my main job, where I try to explain the cause of the complaint and its possible treatment to patients in a clear and understandable way, with a primary emphasis on conservative treatment methods, and only suggest surgical treatment if it seems unavoidable.

I spend my free time with my family, my three daughters take up all my excess energy, they always take care of that. Photography is my passion, but the only way I can do it is to combine family activities with photography on the weekends.

I’ve been playing sports since I was a kid, I used to wrestle in a club for 10 years, and then I started playing boxing and kickboxing. I still practice the latter regularly to this day.
