About
I am Dr. Balázs Török, an orthopedic traumatologist.
I finished my primary school education in Kecskemét. I loved living here. Many friendships I made then are still active today.
I spent my secondary school years at the Radnóti Miklós Gymnasium in Budapest, at the SOTE Gyakorló Gimnázium, and after successful university admission I continued my studies at SOTE ÁOK.
I worked as a resident at the Orthopedics – Traumatology Department of the St. János Hospital. Here I gained a lot of experience in both traumatology and orthopedics.
After successfully passing my exams, I worked in the UK for three years. Again in traumatology and orthopedics. During my time abroad I was able to learn and adopt a different way of looking at things. At the same time, I had the opportunity to work for an extended period of time in a place where we operated using robotics and navigational surgery.
On my return from abroad, I again helped patients in the Orthopedics-Traumatology Department of St John’s Hospital. I am grateful to this department and its staff. I have received a lot from them over the years.
I changed jobs in 2018 and I am still working full-time as an assistant professor at the Orthopedics Department of the Irgalmasrendi Hospital in Buda. Once again, life has been kind to me, as the department has lived up to my expectations, both professionally and in terms of the people and colleagues.
It is important to me to take into account the patient’s situation and needs during the treatment . I also consider it important to be honest about the options available to us and our own abilities. Sometimes advice or guidance means more than a series of operations.
