Prof. Dr. Zsombor Lacza orthopedic-traumatologist, PhD, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Centre for Sports Medicine at the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. He specialises in regenerative medicine, i.e. the development and clinical application of therapeutic procedures that can be used to rebuild damaged tissue and replace lost function.
For regeneration, it uses mainly blood serum derivatives and the latest advances in stem cell research. In this field, he has written more than 120 international papers and book chapters, holds 10 patents and has developed two products based on these patents which are available for therapeutic use. His narrow clinical specialisation is in the treatment of sports injuries and injuries, regeneration of the knee joint through minimally invasive solutions.

He created the first university technology transfer company in the country and the first accredited life science management training course which won the European Enterprise Award in 2010. He taught Innovation Management at the University of Gothenburg as a visiting researcher. He also has a PhD programme at the University of Krems in Austria, teaching in the MSc programme.
