I was born in 1971, in Tapolca, in the beautiful Balaton highlands. After my high school graduation, I moved to Budapest to study at the University of Budapest, where I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University in 1995. On 2 October 1995, I started working at the National Medical Rehabilitation Institute, which is located on the border of Budapest and Budakeszi, next to the Vadaspark, in a really green area.
Starting from the Department of Amputation Surgery, I obtained my orthopedic specialisation in 2000, and after internships in various departments of the Institute, I became a permanent member of the Orthopaedic Department of the Institute in 2003, after passing the examination of musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Due to the profile of our hospital , I specialise in adult orthopedics, mainly in the surgical treatment of musculoskeletal lesions affecting the lower limbs (hip, knee, ankle, forefoot) and the provision of any necessary assistive devices. My main speciality is the treatment of knee joint, patella complaints and meniscus injuries, but also hip and knee replacement, both with cementless or cemented fixation, and with methapyseal so called “short” stems in case of hip prosthesis.
From 2003 to 2011, I worked as a sideline in the specialist outpatient clinic in Érd, in addition to my work in the hospital.From 2008 to 2011, I worked as a consultant for a multinational prosthesis company, which is well known and used in the “developed world”, mainly assisting colleagues with knee prosthesis replacement and training of the company’s new products. This work is also due to the fact that our department has always been committed to using prostheses of proven quality and truly world class. Thanks to this company, I regularly participate in international congresses and training courses in orthopedics “abroad.”
I try to put all this knowledge at the service of our patients in my home country, trying to help raise the quality of Hungarian healthcare.
