4 months ago, an 83-year-old old man - big toe amputated - came to you (transported in a wheelchair). The other day an 83 year old young man left his carer on his own two feet.
His healing was a healing of the soul, as Wass Albert wrote:

„Nothing is important in the treatment of diseases of the human soul, only that the patient should believe (...) And above all, that he should believe in his own healing. That he has a purpose and a task to perform in life. He who can offer all this to the patient, he heals.”

Monika has healed. He healed with his hands, he healed with his words, he healed waiting at the door. Photographs and time bear witness to this. Every morning - in my own home - at 6am I look up and remember. Thank you for not letting the memory keeper stay in bed! As Friedrich Schiller says: “All is gone like a dream, It flies away like a wandering bird, Only the memory remains in the heart, Pale as a moonbeam.” But it remains. Even now I feel that every day, every year, every age has its own purpose.

A year and a half ago, we went to BMM with a small wound that started as a small ulcer, then was completely mistreated for months at the Semmelweis Skin Clinic, and became worse and bigger (one of the lower legs was almost a third of the way over).Thanks to the professional treatment of Mónika Hegedüs, a wound therapist, we are now on the road to recovery, as we are finally getting the right treatment and the wound is healing. My mother was treated by Mónika Hegedűs, a surgical specialist, after months of “unsuccessful attempts” by countless doctors from the district surgeon, vascular surgeon, dermatologist, another private clinic to the Honvéd hospital to treat the non-healing ulcerative wounds on her legs. Our last attempt was to go here (recommended by a friend), as he was unable to work, a lot of money was spent on unnecessary treatments consisting of nothing but courses of antibiotics and bandages, throwing a lot of money out of the window. Unfortunately, the situation was so serious that there was even talk of losing a finger or a limb. Then, interestingly enough, BMM found the right treatment and after the first couple of sessions there was a significant improvement, and now there are no scars at all, despite being told flat out at the beginning that they promised nothing. I'm not saying it's cheap, but if you want professional, kind, human treatment, you have to pay for it, especially if it's that serious. Many thanks to Mónika Hegedűs for her work and help! DESCRIPTION

I have always found it a challenge to treat wounds that are difficult to heal. Over the years, I have gained a lot of useful experience, which I am now putting to good use in treating my patients.

I started my health career in 1984 at the National Institute of Medical Rehabilitation Orthopaedic Surgery. in 1992, my main tasks included tying, as a smart dressing treatment of decubitus ulcers (bedsores), in addition to home wound dressing techniques and educated them on the prevention of wound development.

At the beginning of my career St John's Hospital Accident Surgery I have been a surgical nurse for several years. I then worked at the National Institute of Oncology where I spent several years. I worked first as a clinical pharmacist and then as an adult specialist nurse in the Department of General and Abdominal and Thoracic Surgery. Then again St. John's Hospital Accident Surgery, dressing nurse, outpatient operating room nurse.

After thirty-one years, and experience in a wide range of fields, I continued my journey in private healthcare. In 2015, I joined the Prima Medica private healthcare team as an assistant and dressing specialist, working in endocrinology, ultrasound, gynaecology, ENT and diabetology. As a dressing specialist treated ulcers with different therapies and dressings, shockwave, smart dressings for decubitus patients, and I have also treated post-operative complications. Professional advice for wounds that are difficult to heal I provided. From 2018 I was a wound and shockwave therapist at the Harmony Centre, where from 2019 patients came to me for wound and shockwave therapy on their own appointment. In addition to therapy, lifestyle counselling I have also provided to avoid, prevent and re-infection of ulcers and decubitus ulcers.

I joined the team of the Budapest Musculoskeletal Private Practice in 2020, as a wound care and shock wave specialist.
