About
My father is a mechanic and we used to do a lot of mechanics together when I was a kid. We took every car apart down to the last bolt - and what really mattered was that we put it back together and it all worked. But the human body is much more complex than that, and I've always liked a challenge.
As an orthopaedic traumatologist and hand surgeon, I specialise in upper limb and ankle surgery, with a particular focus on shoulder and elbow surgery. Ever since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by finding technical solutions, understanding and improving the functioning of complex systems. As I mentioned in my quote, my father is a mechanic and we used to do a lot of mechanics together. But taking cars apart and putting them back together again is „just” mechanics - the human body is much more complex than that, and it's that complexity that really attracts me to this profession.
In my work I strive not only to use the most modern surgical techniques, but also to ensure that my patients fully understand their conditions and treatment options. I believe that successful treatment depends not only on surgical precision, but also on the cooperation between doctor and patient. That's why I always place great importance on personal contact, shared decision-making and detailed information.
During my experience abroad and at home, I have learned many modern surgical procedures and introduced in Hungary, among others, new surgical techniques in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery and ankle replacement. In addition to state-of-the-art medical technologies, I also believe in every patient is different, and therefore individual, tailor-made solutions are always needed.
„The human body is an incredibly complex system, and my job as a surgeon is not just to fix a fracture or replace a worn joint - it's to restore my patients” freedom of movement and quality of life."
Profession and approach
I believe that successful healing rests on three pillars: precision, continuous learning and collaboration with patients.
Precision: Orthopaedics and hand surgery are fields where success depends on millimetres. The angular adjustment of a prosthesis, the degree of ligament tension or the technique used to release a nerve compression can have a decisive impact on the long-term outcome of a patient. That's why I do all my surgeries as if I were working on myself or a close family member - my goal is always to restore the best possible functionality.
Continuous learning: Surgery is one of the fastest growing fields in medicine, and I'm never satisfied with „good enough” flies. I always strive to learn new techniques and improve my skills. During my years in the UK's leading institutions, I gained experience that I still apply in my day-to-day work, and I am constantly looking for innovations that will help me to I can give my patients even better care.
Doctor and patient working together: „The doctor and the patient are in the same boat - if we are not going in the same direction, the treatment cannot be successful.” For me, the most important thing is that the patient understands exactly what is happening to them, what your options are and what steps lead to recovery. That's why I discuss your condition and treatment options with each patient in detail, because believe that an informed patient makes better decisions and actively contributes to their own recovery.
As a surgeon, one of the greatest rewards for me is when a patient enthusiastically declares at a check-up:
„Doc, this is exactly how I imagined it - it's perfect!”
