About

I believe that healing is based on trust and cooperation.
I see my patients not as patients, but as partners with whom we start the healing journey together.

My great grandfather, grandfather and father were all doctors. After my father's untimely death, my grandfather, a well-known downtown district doctor set an example for me: I saw how he was always taking care of his patients, and that was a big influence on my career choice. So it became natural for me to choose medicine as my life.

I graduated from the University of Szeged with a degree and PhD, then I started working in Budapest, at the National Institute of Accident and Emergency. I spent 19 years there, also as a duty manager, and gradually became known as a „shoulder surgeon”. I introduced the arthroscopic surgery and reverse shoulder replacement in fracture care, which are still the dominant methods today. I am currently working at the Sports Hospital, where I now work exclusively in shoulder surgery, and training young doctors is a priority for me.

In traumatology, I have tried my hand at a wide variety of fields - from knee and hip replacements to cruciate ligament replacement. Finally, in I found shoulder surgery to be the most versatile specialty, which is requires a whole person, and every day brings a new challenge. For me, healing is not just a surgical intervention: understanding the real problem is often more difficult than the surgery itself, so the key to success is always careful diagnosis and teamwork. The role of physiotherapists in the recovery of shoulder patients is irreplaceable.

My specialism the arthroscope-assisted tendon transfer in cases where the rotator cuff tear can no longer be reconstructed. I also regularly lecture at national and international courses, give continuing education courses for physiotherapists, and I am also involved in teaching residents at a sports hospital. In 2025, I was honoured to be asked to build an education system as a consultant for Conmed in Hungary.

Outside of my profession, my life is also defined by movement: I have been practicing and teaching tai chi chuan for 25 years, which is not only a sport for me, but also a way of life.

I am convinced that the getting rid of shoulder problems can be a long process, so it's a good idea to seek professional help as soon as possible. The longer we delay starting treatment, the harder it will be to solve the problem. It is important that the patient finds a doctor who recognises the real cause and knows when to take action.
