About

My motto: diligence, precision, patient-centredness!

Following family tradition, I started my secondary education in Szeged at a technical secondary school. Here I was able to successfully use and develop my manual skills. In the meantime, my interests broadened and I became interested in the functioning of the human body, which eventually led me to I graduated in general medicine from the University of Szeged in 2004.

In my chosen field, in orthopaedics and traumatology, the worlds of engineering and medicine come together, which optimally covers my interests. For me, it is the perfect profession, which has become both my profession and my hobby.

The foundations of my hometown I have used it to good effect in my 12 years of working in Germany, where, in addition to caring for accident victims, I further specialised in prosthetics of the large joints of the lower extremity (hip and knee). I am used to working with precision using modern equipment. A I have five years of experience with the basics of robotic surgery and navigation techniques. I have a degree in Germany (Karlsruhe). After that I worked as a senior physician in the Black Forest in Freudenstadt.

In 2022, my family and I moved back home, giving in to my homesickness, and again I worked at the Traumatology Clinic of the University of Szeged, where I gained further experience in the treatment of ligament injuries of the knee.

After the diagnostics are done, the findings are discussed in detail with the patient. My aim is that during the treatment the patient is aware of exactly what the problem is. After this information has been provided, a treatment plan is drawn up together.

I perform hip replacement from the so-called trouser pocket approach, which minimally invasive, providing a small pruning, and the big advantage is that it spares you from having to cut your tailbone during surgery.

In addition to primary prosthesis implantation for joint wear, prosthesis implantation may also be necessary after hip fractures. In some cases, replacement of a previously implanted prosthesis may also be necessary. The latter is called revision surgery.

In the world of modern technology computer-aided design is now an essential part of preparations for prosthetic surgery. I have been using it routinely for years for prosthetic implantations. Good design alone is not enough. Achieving the perfect result also requires precise workmanship. In addition to the manual skills they have acquired over the years, they also benefit from the latest technology, the so-called robot-guided surgery.

In the vast majority of cases of cartilage damage in the knee joint a so-called total prosthesis implantation, but in selected cases (e.g. asymmetric wear) so-called sledge prosthesis implantation, axle correction surgery may be an option, thus avoiding or delaying the implantation of a prosthesis.

For isolated cartilage damage, especially in young and active patients cartilage grafting (so-called mosaicplasty) or cartilage implantation may be the solution.

For recurrent dislocation of the kneecap kneecap stabilisation surgery is required. Typical knee injuries in athletes tear of the anterior cruciate ligament, the resulting knee joint instability is also stabilisation is necessary (cruciate ligament reconstruction).

Damage, but also wear and tear, can occur due to the so-called meniscus damage, which is one of the most common causes of knee joint problems. These impairments can be treated effectively by arthroscopy (keyhole technique).

If articular cartilage damage has already started, but you do not necessarily need a prosthesis, there are various injections of articular cartilage protectors (e.g. hyaluronic acid) may reduce symptoms.
