About
Dr. Balázs Török, I am an orthopaedic traumatologist.
I finished my primary school education in Kecskemét. I loved living here. Several friendships I made then are still active today.
I spent my high school years at the Radnóti Miklós High School in Budapest, at the SOTE Practical High School, and after successful university admission I continued my studies at SOTE ÁOK.
As a resident at the St. John's Hospital Orthopaedic - Traumatology Department I worked. Here I gained a lot of experience in both traumatology and orthopaedics.
After successfully passing my exams, I worked in the UK for three years. Again in traumatology and orthopaedics. During my years abroad I was able to get to know a different way of looking at things and master it. I also had the opportunity to work for an extended period of time in a place where we operated using robotics and navigational surgery.
On my return from abroad, I again helped patients in the Orthopaedic-Traumatology Department of St John's Hospital. I am grateful to this department and its staff. I have received a lot from them over the years.
I changed jobs in 2018 and am currently working at Orthopaedic Department of Irgalmasrendi Hospital Buda I work full-time as an assistant professor. And life has been kind to me again, as the department has lived up to my expectations, both professionally and in terms of people and colleagues.
I think it is important to take into account the specific needs of the the patient's living situation and needs. I also think it is important to be honest about the possibilities and your own abilities. Sometimes advice or guidance means more than a series of operations.
