What can we help you with? - Treatable injuries

• Bruises, sprains, pulled muscles
• Partial muscle tear , rupture of a ligament in a joint
• Closed fracture (involving a bone, not deformed, not open, e.g. boka, wrist, alkar, broken collarbone)
• Dislocation, if (e.g. shoulder dislocation):
  • the patient can be seen within 4-6 hours,
  • no significant pain,
  • the affected limb retains sensation and circulation.
  (E.g. the frequent „bokaficam” can be supplied in this form.)
• Small burns (palm-sized or smaller)
• Animal bite injuries, if only puncture, no laceration
• Injuries caused by a foreign body (e.g. splinters, broken glass)

What do we not provide?

• patients under 18 years old
• Head, neck, chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis injuries,
• High energy injuries:
  • Falling from a height (from three ladder rungs or one stool higher)
  • Accident involving a car, car accident at speed over 10 km/h, motorcycle accident, bicycle accident, e-scooter accident, tram/train/ hit-and-run
• Fractures involving several bones
• Circulatory or loss of sensation injuries to limbs
• Open fractures, deformities with disruption of skin continuity
• Gunshot wounds
• Severe burns
• Badly mangled animal bite wounds
• Wounds associated with an infectious or febrile condition (purulent, fistulous, exudative)
• Known bone or chronic joint infections

How is care provided?

1. Taking a medical history, physical examination, X-ray examination
2. Making a diagnosis
3. Preparing a therapeutic proposal
4. Treatment options, depending on the injury:
• plastering, fixing
• wound care, wound dressing
• injections (joint, muscle, periosteal)
• prescribing medicines and medical devices
• rehabilitation advice, physiotherapy advice
