Removing the pterygoid instead of reducing the pseudo-rib
Many people will do anything to achieve a shapely appearance. But there comes a point when neither diet nor hard training will slim the waist any further. This is due to the anatomy of the skeletal system.
The bone structure cannot be changed through exercise and diet, so it is worth turning to surgical solutions. In this case, a body sculpture, or more precisely the partial removal of the ribs, thus reducing the size of the pseudo-ribs, may be the ideal solution.
In standard medical practice to this day, the removal of the pendulum rib is an attempt to give patients a thinner waist. However, this procedure has a number of disadvantages, have harmful effects on health. One of the most important of these is that the removal of the pendulum ribs leaves the kidneys unprotected. Furthermore, complete removal is a relatively large operation that places a considerable strain on the body.
Instead of removing the pendulum ribs, it is much safer to reduce the size of the pseudo-ribs.
The idea is to retain the 10 and 11 pendulum ribs and partially remove the pseudo-ribs. In practice, this works by 5-5 cm of ribs 9 and 10 are removed from the left and right side of the rib cage, in the medioclavicular line.
The procedure does not involve significant pain and the recovery time is relatively quick. The reduction in the size of the pseudo-ribs reduces the lower part of the chest and gives a Barbie-like appearance.

Slimming plastic surgery procedure
As with all surgical procedures, partial rib removal is preceded by personal consultation with a doctor. A chest X-ray is then taken and a general examination is also needed. If the thoracic surgeon does not see any abnormalities, then a body lift can be performed:
- Before the operation, the patient 1 dose of antibiotics, to avoid possible infections.
- A surgery under general anaesthesia, with the patient in the supine position.
- Dr János Görög breast surgeon makes a 5-5 cm incision in the area between the ninth and tenth rib arc. He then removes 5 to 5 centimetres of the patient's 9th and 10th ribs in the medioclavicular line on both the left and right sides.
- A drainage tube is inserted into the wound to suction out any fluid or air that may be produced. This tube is removed the next day at the hospital.
- At the end of the operation a plastic surgical suture is used to close the wound.
A body sculpture usually takes 1 hour.
The procedure requires 2 nights in a private hospital.
After surgery
- A waterproof plaster is applied to the wound. This is particularly important because the day after the stitches are removed the wound must not be flooded.
- Stitch removal 2 weeks after surgery After suture removal, it is recommended to apply a wound-healing silicone patch. The patch will help the wound heal faster and more beautifully.
- After the stitching, the use of a special corset is recommended to give the waist a really slim and aesthetic shape.
- Until the stitches are removed, you should rest and avoid strenuous movements. In these 2 weeks not even recommended to work, and driving should also be avoided.
- A follow-up examination is carried out 1 month after the suture removal. A follow-up visit is needed in the 3rd month after the operation, when an X-ray is taken.
As with all surgical procedures, partial rib removal body contouring has some risks. Although the chances are low, it is possible that the pleura may be damaged and the patient may develop a pneumothorax. In addition, there may be some minor post-operative bleeding.
