What is LIPOGEMS® stem cell therapy treatment?
LIPOGEMS® is a single-use, closed-system device, approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration - USA), for the processing and immediate injection of adipose tissue using a revolutionary new method. The new technology preserves the complete microenvironment of the removed adipose tissue with regenerative properties, including growth factors, support cells (pericytes) and healing proteins (cytokines) in addition to stem cells.
The uniqueness and revolutionary nature of the method lies in the fact that the fat undergoes a minimal, enzyme-free treatment using a closed, sterile device. How is the intervention done?

A medical consultation and examination is always necessary before the procedure . On the date booked in advance please bring your medical records, documentation of previous treatments for your complaint and X-ray/CT/MRI scans of the affected body part (description not enough!). During the consultation we will also explain the details of the intervention, the possible risks and the expected results.
During LIPOGEMS® stem cell therapy treatment with local anaesthesia, usually from the lower part of the abdominal wall, an appropriate amount of fat tissue is painlessly removed, from which regenerative tissue is then harvested in a special, closed system and immediately injected into the affected area. The procedure is simple but involves many steps, so usually takes about 45 - 60 minutes in the operating theatre, followed by 1 - 2 hours of rest after the procedure.
After the intervention
A few days after the operation it is recommended that the treated joint be relieved of stress, rested and iced. In some cases, a nonsteroidal analgesic medicine may also be used. Even in just these few days it is very regular joint re-exercise is important, using a very careful technique. In the later stages, the treated body part gradual but regular exercise is recommended.
Check-ups are recommended 1, 6 and 12 weeks after surgery. Physical therapy is not always necessary, but can have a positive impact on recovery and regeneration for everyone.
