The prerequisite to participate in fitmummy training is 12 weeks of pregnancy, a certificate issued by an obstetrician-gynaecologist, which you should bring with you to your first appointment!
At the first appointment, we listen to the prospective mother's complaints in detail and ask about her previous musculoskeletal problems. This is followed by a detailed musculoskeletal health check, during which we check your posture, muscle strength, stretching and the position of bony formations (manual therapy examination). After the examination, we will discuss any problems and draw up a therapy plan.
Key elements of fitmummy training:
- Breathing gymnastics
- Venous gymnastics
- Posture improving, core strengthening spinal gymnastics
- Gymnastics
- Upper and lower limb muscle strengthening exercises
- Mobilisation exercises
- Exercises to improve balance
- Relaxation
- SMR use of tools
The exercise programme is tailored to the needs, workload and current condition of the pregnant woman.
The physiotherapy treatments are complemented by various soft tissue manual therapy handles, which are very effective in treating, for example, the very common back pain.
Barvicsenko- manual therapy grips can also significantly improve the reduction of pain around the pubic bone, sacrum and lower back. Manual therapy can be started after the 12th week of pregnancy, if there are no contraindications and up to the time of delivery in case of complaints.
TAPE can also be used to relieve the growing belly and waist.
For sacrum and pubic pain, we can also apply a customized NRX orthosis!
The treatment is always available on an individual basis and is led by a qualified physiotherapist!
Fitmummy postnatal training
The 3-step Fitmummy training programme helps you recover after childbirth. Not only the open abdominal muscle (rectus diastasis) We are dealing with the problem of weakened duct system regaining muscle strength, the entire abdominal wall, waist region, the so-called trunk functional restoration of the muscle fibres.
Full regeneration can only be achieved with complex treatment! Training both the abdominal muscles and the fascia alone is insufficient.
After giving birth in after the end of the puerperium we welcome mothers with complaints, but also those with chronic complaints.
At the first meeting, the recording of anamnesis, we listen to your complaints, followed by a detailed postural analysis, and then various tests to assess any musculoskeletal abnormalities. We will examine the degree of abdominal muscle separation, abdominal muscle function, soft tissue adhesions, and scar status in the case of a caesarean section.
Based on the findings of the test, we will design a personalised recovery programme.
Our aim is to practice correct breathing techniques, strengthen the weakened deep stabilising core muscles (the latissimus abdominis), improve posture, reduce lower back pain, improve general well-being and help return to sport.
Fitmummy training consists of 3 steps, which include:
- Primer 1: practising correct breathing technique, gas gymnastics, abdominal activation
- 2. core training: targeted core muscle strengthening in different body positions, following the principle of gradualness
- 3. practising the correct execution of movement patterns from everyday life
The exercise programme is complemented by a number of other therapeutic options: manual therapy (Barvicsenko manual therapy) FDM, kinezio TAPE gluing, fascia release (muscle bundle relaxation) with the following tools: spitballing, flossing, hypervoltage therapy, instrumental manual therapy.
The treatment of caesarean scars is also available in our clinic, which includes various soft tissue manual therapy treatments: scar massage, supplemented by instrumental muscle relaxation (fascia release), spitting, flossing Treatment, kinezio TAPE gluing, Penczel stick, dermaroller, fascia blaster treatment. We offer a variety of lifestyle advice.
Soft tissue abrasions due to scars can cause a number of musculoskeletal complaints, so it's always worth treating them!
Tightness of the pelvic floor muscle fascia often develops after a hysterectomy, which can be treated, and we will also show you how to do this during the treatments.
The presence of the baby is not an obstacle during the treatment. Homework is sent after each session to help you practice at home.
We welcome everyone who wants to regain their good general condition before childbirth!
