One of the most common complaints, it is estimated that there are around 1 million migraine sufferers in Hungary, and even more sufferers of other forms of recurrent headache. Although headaches can be a harbinger of serious illness, in the majority of cases a detailed examination reveals no organ abnormalities. However, the cause can be identified and treatment can be started. Contrary to popular belief, most headaches are treatable.

It is examined and treated with medication by a neurologist. Therapy: specialist neurologist, physiotherapist-physiotherapist in case of tensiometric origin.

Jaw joint disease

TMJ disorders cause widespread and varying degrees of discomfort in the affected area, ranging from mild, persistent discomfort to severe, splitting pain. Headache, ear, face and neck pain are common symptoms. It is often difficult to open the mouth and close the joints. Disorders of the jaw joint are felt not so much in the joint itself but in the affected muscles above and below the joints. The examination is carried out by an ENT specialist or dentist.

Treatment methods: pain relief, use of occlusion splint, physiotherapy, stress relief.

Headache - a sign of facial nerve palsy

Facial nerve palsy

Facial nerve palsy: impairment of the function of the facial nerve (VII nerve), in which the muscles innervated by the nerve are weakened. Symptoms include difficulty in closing the eyes due to muscle weakness of one side of the face, dropping of the lip, facial expressions such as smiling, failure to raise the eyebrows, but also sensory disturbance, increased sensitivity to sound, pain in the ear canal.

Examination and medication is carried out by a neurologist.

Specialised physiotherapy, during which an individually tailored rehabilitation programme is set up: passive, active muscle exercises (stertching, strengthening), electrical stimulation, massage to prevent muscle breakdown.
