Blockade

Blockade
A low back pain caused by a pathological lesion in a component of the spine wear and tear of the small joints between the vertebrae. The load on the small joints that connect the vertebrae at the back is increased for some reason, accelerating the natural wear and tear that can lead to the joint becoming painful.
These complaints can usually be treated conservatively, with medication, exercise and physiotherapy. Sometimes, however, this therapy does not have the desired effect, so it seems more appropriate to treat the source of the pain, i.e. the joint in question an injection of an anti-inflammatory serum at the appropriate site, a procedure known as a small-joint blockade.
