Please bring all relevant findings, test results and final reports with you to the first appointment. We start with a detailed anamnesis, listening to the patient's complaints and medical history.
This is followed by a detailed postural analysis, as pelvic floor problems may be caused by, for example, increased lumbar lordosis (homorulation).
Following the musculoskeletal examination, the lesions observed and the therapeutic options available are discussed.
Ideally, the patient will be given homework for the first session, which they will practise until the next session.
What does gas gymnastics look like in practice?
The first session is to learn the correct stretching of the gait muscle, which is very important as a significant number of patients do pressing instead of stretching the gait muscle, and this can take several sessions to learn correctly. Once we are confident that the correct stretching is being done, patients can slowly learn progressively more difficult stretching exercises in different positions. After 3 months of professional physiotherapy, significant improvement can be seen.
What treatments can be added to gait training?
- Lifestyle advice
- Electrotherapy
- Biofeedback treatment
- Use of weights and measures
- CORE training / functional training
